Our service fees are deductible as a “legal and professional” cost — incurred wholly and exclusively for your trade, the general test for an allowable expense (Corporation Tax Act 2009 s.54 for companies; Income Tax (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005 s.34 for sole traders).
Company formation costs can be treated as capital expenditure rather than a revenue expense in some circumstances (HMRC guidance BIM35901). Ask your accountant how to treat that specific cost.
