You Are Loved
A quiet moment in a busy day. These words from the Psalms remind us that God our Father loves us, watches over us, and is near to us when we need Him most.
He loves us like a Father
As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.Psalm 103:13
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.Psalm 103:11–12
His love never ends
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.Psalm 136:1
How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.Psalm 36:7
Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.Psalm 63:3
He watches over us
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.Psalm 23:1–3
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.Psalm 23:6
He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.Psalm 91:4
He made you, and He is near
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.Psalm 139:14
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.Psalm 34:18
The Father’s love is shown to us most fully in His Son, Jesus Christ.
